Cold Calls in Sapporo

Description
For my third trip to Japan I decided to spend 5 weeks exploring Japan's northernmost region, Hokkaido. After landing in Sapporo from Tokyo in Late January I was astounded by the difference in the weather from Tokyo to Sapporo, the constant snow and atmosphere felt a world away despite the flight only being a couple of hours. While I walked to my hostel I stumbled across this telephone box buried in the snow and could only imagine what it might be like to take a phone call in it. Felt like something from a Wong-Kar Wai film. Shot on my Leica.
